On Sunday, June 2, the Davids Engineering team gathered our families together to celebrate the start of the summer season! The day began with assisting the Yolo Basin Foundation in keeping the Yolo Basin Wildlife Area clean by collecting trash that blows in from the freeway.
After the clean-up, we hopped in our cars and Yolo Basin Foundation guided us all in a self-driving tour. We stopped along the way to discuss the rice farming and habitat restoration progress in the Yolo Bypass. As a bonus, we were able to see a lot of different birds in the wildlife area!
The group ended the afternoon with a picnic lunch at Mace Ranch Community Park in Davis where our families ate, laughed and played cornhole together. This summer social was a great opportunity to lend a helping hand, learn something new and get to know each other better.
